(poems)"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>These are mostly free formed, three line poems.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The passed-on Buddha spirit<br \/>occupies as much space<br \/>as you leave empty for it\u00a0<br \/>&#8211; The Transmission of Light<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The shadow puppets<br \/>are fond of light<br \/>or so we tell ourselves<br \/>&#8211; On projecting ourselves on the inanimate<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>She sits in a hot spring<br \/>my flame<br \/>in my wax<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Something must be sacrificed<br \/>in pursuit of creation<br \/>The mutual becomes the spiritual<br \/>&#8211; On letting go<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To engage in the process<br \/>requires sacrifice<br \/>of parasite or self<br \/>&#8211; On liberation<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Autumn strips away the bullshit<br \/>Human spirit<br \/>here I come<br \/>&#8211; On fall<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The monk who lives out there<br \/>isn&#8217;t out there<br \/>He&#8217;s in here<br \/>&#8211; The traveling monk<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Impossible mountains<br \/>have a cave complex through them<br \/>Koans through zen<br \/>&#8211; Entangling Vines<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The bellows of the holy fire<br \/>are your lungs<br \/>White hot iron melter<br \/>&#8211; The strangely designed human<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Burnt by the cold<br \/>will heat warm me<br \/>or burn me too?<br \/>&#8211; Winter&#8217;s isolation<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For a moment I forgot<br \/>that I&#8217;m not really me<br \/>I forgot about all of you<br \/>&#8211; On the ego of self importance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>How old is that water<br \/>that you&#8217;re drinking, cat?<br \/>how old is the air?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I&#8217;m looking for something<br \/>I don&#8217;t know what it is<br \/>I&#8217;m just out there looking<br \/>&#8211; Just looking<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I&#8217;m out there feeling for something<br \/>I don&#8217;t know what it is<br \/>I&#8217;m just out there feeling<br \/>&#8211; Out there<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>God of the garden and irony<br \/>Spirit of change<br \/>Non-dual thinking<br \/>&#8211; The pantheon<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Hemingway&#8217;s Paris<br \/>The godess, not the city<br \/>is a moveable feast<br \/>&#8211; On lust<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If you are a human<br \/>then why do you use<br \/>robot language?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Who organized all those sand dollars<br \/>on the beach?<br \/>They organized everything<br \/>all<br \/>by<br \/>themselves<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The wind that blows isn&#8217;t wind<br \/>but fills my lungs with air<br \/>The rain that falls isn&#8217;t rain<br \/>but fills my mouth with water<br \/>The sun that shines isn&#8217;t sun<br \/>but fills my cheeks with colour<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Goodbye sun<br \/>Hello souls<br \/>Hello sun<br \/>&#8211; On night and day<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The tongue a hook<br \/>on bated breath<br \/>Don&#8217;t bite<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Summer leaves me tired <br \/>and longing<br \/>for autumn<br \/>&#8211; On summer activities<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Autumn leave me tired<br \/>and longing <br \/>for spring<br \/>&#8211; On autumn&#8217;s transitions<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Fate is a dragon<br \/>try to pull it toward you<br \/>or push it away<br \/>&#8211; A deterministic universe<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Sat here in madness<br \/>A bird on wind&#8217;s wing<br \/>dropping into it and angling back up<br \/>\u00a0&#8211; Wind&#8217;s wing<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>An artist moves toward the uncreated<br \/>We follow her experiencing her vision<br \/>and understand reality through her creation<br \/>\u00a0&#8211; On knowing and understanding<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These are mostly free formed, three line poems.
